British Masters Of Poker Tour resumes today

Friday, 18 September 2009

With all the international high stakes action in the UK at the moment it’s easy to forget that the regular British poker circuit is running as normal. A case in point is the British Masters Of Poker series, which resumes in Liverpool today.

The action kicks off at Gala’s Leo Casino at 6pm this evening with a £200 No Limit Hold’em event. The £500 Main Event starts at 3pm on Saturday. It’s a two-day affair with starting stacks of 10,000 chips and a 60-minute clock. Alternates will be accepted for the first two levels. There’s a further £100 side event starting at 5pm on Sunday. Stacks start at 7,500 with a 30-minute clock.

In addition to a cash prize, the winner in Liverpool will gain a place in an eight-handed play off where the victor will claim a Coral sponsorship package worth £10,000. Jim O’Connell, Tom McDonald, Mark Trett and Chris Brammer have already qualified for the final. They will join the Liverpool winner, the winner of next month’s final leg in Bristol plus the Tour’s top money winner and online qualifiers.
