The World Poker Tour have defied their critics and a declining market share following a recent sale, boasting a $2,000,000 guaranteed prize pool for the $3,500 buy-in Borgata Poker Open – implying an expected turnout of over 1,200 players.

The event, which is tiny in comparison to the regular $10,000+ buy-ins set for most WPT events, will be televised. No official reveal has been made with regards to prize distribution, but there are rumours that the winner will be taking home an even million dollars.
