Bodog Sends First Player to WSOP 2010

Wednesday, 5 August 2009

Leading online casino, sportsbetting site and poker room Bodog.com have been quick off the blocks, becoming one of the first sites to send a player to the 2010 WSOP Main Event - before the 2009 final table has even played out!

With 13 events preceding the grand final, Bodog customers were able to earn a place in the last tournament of the series by either placing in the semi-final tournament or by securing a place in the top ten of the competition's overall leaderboard.

Overall, 82 runners entered the final stages. John "Getn_Outa_MI" Ormsby took the top spot and the $12,000 package to the next Main Event.

"I hope to go out there early and play in a couple of other events first," said Ormsby of his preparations for Main Event. "I was in Vegas years ago when I was younger, but it was before I played poker. I know there are lots of juicy cash games around town to play in during the WSOP and I'm looking forward to it all."
