Bluff Media, publishers of our American sibling Bluff Magazine have announced the purchase of the print component of Woman Poker Player magazine.
Bluff Media, publishers of our American sibling Bluff Magazine have announced the purchase of the print component of Woman Poker Player magazine. “Woman Poker Player magazine was founded as a vehicle for the encouragement of women to play poker. At that time women were only representing about ten percent of live players, and this is no longer the case,” said Maryann Morrison, publisher of Woman Poker Player. “We all know women are fierce poker players and have substantially grown in numbers over the past two years. It is not a progressive step for women to have segregation of any kind.” Recognising that female players are a fast increasing part of the poker market Bluff Media believes the acquisition is a both prudent and reflective of the increasing success of women in poker. “We’re very happy to accept Woman Poker Player’s readers into the Bluff community,” said Eric Morris, co-president and publisher of Bluff Media. “As women are beginning to make up a larger percentage of the overall player base it’s important that our magazine properly reflects this and we feel that this move does just that.” While subscribers to Woman Poker Player magazine will now receive Bluff Magazine on a monthly basis the website, www.womanpokerplayer.com, will continue to provide loyal readers with the same quality content they’ve come to expect. “I am pleased that Bluff Media has agreed to continue servicing our subscribers. Bluff offers excellent poker education for all poker players, and is a valuable resource in the poker community,” said Morrison.
