Europe’s most widely read poker publication, Bluff Europe, has announced that its October issue will feature a exclusive full post-match interview with the winner of the World Series Of Poker Europe’s (WSOPE) Main Event, teenager Annette Obrestad.

Europe’s most widely read poker publication, Bluff Europe, has announced that its October issue will feature a exclusive full post-match interview with the winner of the World Series Of Poker Europe’s (WSOPE) Main Event, teenager Annette Obrestad.
The 18-year-old Norwegian beat 362 other players in London to win the two million dollar Main Event prize and the coveted gold bracelet, the youngest player and first woman to ever accomplish such a feat.
Best recognised by her online moniker, ‘Annette_15’, Obrestad fought off the best players in the world in the $20,000 buy-in, six-day tournament and will tell all in an emotionally charged interview held moments after winning the poker world’s highest honour.
“It was tremendous to see a European player crowned champion and I thank Harrah’s, Betfair and The Empire Casino on behalf of Bluff Europe and our readers who will now get to meet the lucky winner,” said the Editor-In-Chief for Bluff Europe, Michael Caselli.
Bluff Europe is the largest poker magazine in the UK and Obrestad is to feature on the publication’s front cover and will speak about what it is like to emerge from the shadows at such a young age in the live arena.
“I think I preferred playing online a year ago but now I prefer live. It’s just so different and exciting,” said Obrestad in an exclusive excerpt from next month’s interview.
Obrestad will also reveal her feelings about gaining cult status since winning the first WSOP event to be held outside of the United States and on fellow players cheering her on.
“You have rails online where people are wishing me good luck on every table I’m playing,” said Obrestad. “When I’m all-in deep in a tournament, the chat box is full of people going ‘ace-ace-ace-ace’. It’s real cute because everyone is rooting for me.”
