Bluff Europe Super Tour Champion of Champions final tomorrow

Bluff Europe Super Tour Champion of Champions final tomorrow
Monday, 7 February 2011

The top ten finishers in the Bluff Europe Super Tour (B.E.S.T) rankings will meet in a special sit and go tournament at 4pm tomorrow to decide who is the Champion of Champions.

The special STT takes place at the Aviation Club in Paris with the winner set to walk away with a seat in the WPT Paris event worth €5,000 plus an appearance on the cover of Bluff Europe (and the Bluff Europe cover usually offers some seriously good karma, just ask Sam Trickett!).

So who are the ten who will be competing for these prizes? Dutchman Paul Berende topped the leader board and he will be joined by an international field that includes the likes of Nicolas Levi, Emanuele Rugini, Per Linde, Matt Perrins, Craig McCorkell, Steven Van Zaddelhoff and James Mitchell.

The ranking system is determined by a formula that considers the buy-in and the number of entrants in each tournament and only considers tournaments with real international stature. This formula rewards skill over luck and determines, what the magazine feels, is the most accurate measure of tournament poker players in Europe.

Bluff Europe Editor Philip Conneller said, “2010 was the first year of the B.E.S.T. rankings and we feel that they’re the most equitable ranking system in Europe. They’re designed to reward consistency in difficult, high buy-in tournaments and we feel that’s the true mark of a great tournament player. The B.E.S.T Champion of Champions event is the exciting culmination of a fantastic year of European poker.”

The action gets under way at 4pm tomorrow. Join us later this week to see who wins the coveted Champion of Champions crown.
