Black Friday payment processor pleads guilty in Manhattan

Wednesday, 29 February 2012

One of the eleven men indicted by the US Department of Justice on April 15, Ryan Lang, has plead guilty in a court in Manhattan to several charges related to online gaming payment processing.

Lang admitted to facilitating the transfers between online poker sites and players in the US, operating as a Canadian payment processor for three years. He was charged with a myriad of crimes including money laundering and fraud.

His crimes carry a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison though owing to his co-operation it is likely he will serve far less.
