Black Belt Poker announces second grading school

Monday, 14 December 2009

Neil Channing and his fellow Black Belt instructors will be doing their best Mr Miyagi impressions next month as the site goes on the hunt for more sponsored players. The initial grading selection takes place from Monday 18th January to Sunday 24th January 2010.

Cash, sit and go and MTT players are all eligible for assessment as long as they play a minimum number of hands in the week long grading window. A maximum of 50 players will then go forward to the full grading process that will run from 1st February until 14th March. Players will be assessed on their commitment, contribution of strategy content, not to mention their prowess at the tables.

At the end of the assessment, the top eight players will be awarded Blue Belt Sponsorship which includes an Irish Open Package consisting of a €3,500 Main Event entry, entry into the €300 Charity Event plus flights and accommodation. Blue Belts will also become backed players, entering events on a 50/50 plus make-up deal with Black Belt Poker. There are also lesser packages on offer for those who don’t quite make the final eight.
