Black Belt Poker announces live event

Wednesday, 16 December 2009

Neil Channing’s training site, BlackBeltPoker, has announced a new grading process for 2010 already. However, they will really be pushing the boat out as between 12-14 March they will host their inaugural live event.

Channing has chosen the Victoria Casino – where else? – for the venue of this first tournament. The $200 + $20 main event will have a 20,000 stack with a prize pool estimated at $60,000.

In addition, there will be bounties on the heads of Nik Persaud, Jesse May, James Akenhead, Praz Bansi, Marty Smyth, Richard Ashby and Channing himself. Purple Belts will receive an extra prize for winning and Orange Belt players have extra value in a last longer bet.

The event kicks off just a few days before the London phase of the 2010 GUKPT, so no doubt many Black Belters will stay on for that tournament too, boosting its value.
