After weeks of assessment Neil Channing announces the eight lucky players who will be heading to the World Series with Black Belt Poker
The 31 remaining players in Black Belt Poker’s grading programme could have been forgiven for feeling a bit like Debbie Harry from Blondie on Monday night. They’re not all beautiful, blonde and able to sing like angels but they were all Hanging On The Telephone. In this instance they were hoping that it was Jesse May and Neil Channing on the line as the eight Black Belt Poker sponsorship packages were announced live via a phone call on BoylePoker.com’s The Poker Show. After much deliberation the final eight were named as Adam Latimer, David Tighe, James Keys, Jamie Roberts, Jerome Bradpiece, Kevin Allen, Richard Hawes and Sida Yuen. All eight (who have been awarded Brown Belt status) will be heading to Las Vegas with $20,000 in sponsorship courtesy of Black Belt Poker with monthly $4,000 sponsorship packages thereafter.A further 16 players were awarded smaller Blue Belt packages which include sponsorship for a series of UK events. Black Belt is expected to run a further grading programme later this year. If you think that you’ve got what it takes then see www.blackbeltpoker.com.
