Big Names For WPT High-Roller

Some of the biggest names in the poker world will be hoping to start the New Year with a bumper score after signing up for the $200,000 buy-in super high-roller event at the National Philippines stop of the World Poker Tour (WPT).

The event will take place at the Solaire Resort And Casino in Manila from January 3 to 4 with stellar names including Phil IveyTom DwanSam Trickett, Andrew RoblVivek RajkumarFedor Holz, Andrew Pantling and Daniel Cates confirmed as competitors.

These are due to join a line-up that already includes high-roller regulars Richard Yong and Paul Phua as well as a group of deep-pocketed Asian businessmen.

"We at Poker King Club always aim to push the boundaries of poker, which led to us being named the Home Of The World’s Biggest Game," said Winfred Yu, President and Chief Executive Officer for Poker King Club.

"That aim is now coming to the WPT National Philippines with a super high-roller and we are happy to add the gravitas of well-known poker players into that mix such as Aussie Millions champion and businessman Richard Yong."
