Betting Prices Out on Irish Masters and WSOP Europe

Thursday, 18 September 2008

Right, get your wagers ready! Paddy Power Poker have released the prices on the outright winner of the Irish Open and the World Series of Poker Europe.

The Irish Masters will see a strong home entry, with Ciaran O’Leary installed as joint-favourite alongside the likes of Julian Gardner and Abel Meijberg. If you're looking out for some of the form men in the UK and Ireland at the moment, WSOP Pot Limit Omaha bracelet winner Marty Smyth represents good value at 50/1, while Joe Beevers – always a dangerous player – is priced at 66/1.

Meanwhile, we're all getting ready for the World Series of Poker Europe to kick off in London. The markets have been announced on the Main Event, and it's no surprise to see Daniel Negreanu and Phil Ivey in amongst the favourites at 50/1. Other prices available include:

Eric Lindgren - 50/1
Gus Hansen - 50/1
Gavin Griffin - 80/1
Phil Hellmuth - 150/1

Personally, Phil Hellmuth at 150/1 seems to be bonkers, with the man being a Hold'em god in the stateside WSOP series over the years. We're having a fiver on him – bring it home, Philly!!
