No, Betfair isn't challenging Adele's supremacy at the top of the UK Hit Parade (as some people of a certain age insist on calling the charts). The Hitwise in question is an online competitive intelligence service which has rated the most popular gaming websites of 2010 and found Betfair top dog.

The site was ranked as number one based on the number of visits it received between January and December last yea beating the likes of Ladbrokes and William Hill.

Betfair’s Head of UK Marketing Matt Booth said: “2010 was a big year for sport and that’s reflected in the number of customers who visited Betfair in search of better odds and bigger wins. Our product portfolio represents the most comprehensive sports betting offering on the market.”
