For the poker players who haven’t made it to Singapore, a series of online tournaments will run parallel to the Betfair Asian Poker Tour's live event in Singapore.
In a unique online version of the tournament, players will vie for $100,000 in Asian themed prizes, supplied by Betfair.
'We want all of our players to feel part of the Betfair Asian Poker Tour whether they are in Singapore or not,' said head of poker Ben Fried.
Amongst the prizes up-for-grabs are a five night all expenses paid holiday at the luxurious Burj Al Arab in Dubai, the world's only seven star hotel, and trips to Hong Kong and Bali. Players battling at the virtual felt can also win Sony and Samsung electrical goods, a year's supply of Asian beer and Betfair Asian Poker Tour merchandise.
The online series of events begins with a $5 + $0.50 tournament today, November 13, and will culminate with a $100 + $9 Main Event this weekend on November 18.
Daily satellites to the Main Event have already started on Betfair Poker at 20:00 GMT and 21:30 GMT with buy-ins of $5 + $0.50 and $10 + $1 respectively.
