Bet24 expands real money poker app to 14 new countries

Thursday, 16 February 2012

The day after PokerStars launched its new mobile app for the UK, Bet24 put in a raise by expanding its own mobile offering to 14 new countries. The Ongame site launched their own app for the UK, France and Austria back in December 2011.

Now, Bet24 have expanded their offering to Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden and Switzerland.

The app is offered primarily for iPhone users, though Bet24 also have an Android app available. They do however consider the iOS to be more important than the Android platform.

“Mobile has been a true success story for us with thousands of downloads since launch," said Lars Kollind, poker manager for Bet24.com. "I have studied the development carefully since launch and I am proud to say that mobile poker generates growth without cannibalizing on current poker revenues from PC and Mac.”
