Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier leads WPT Bratislava Day 1b

Friday, 1 April 2011

After the opening flights of the World Poker Tour Bratislava Main Event conclude it is Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier leading the way ahead of a star-studded field into Day 2. The French PokerStars Pro bagged up just shy of 200k by the end of Day 1b to give him the chip lead.

Don’t worry, though, we’re not letting France get away with it. James Akenhead is one of ElkY’s closest competitors in the chip count despite arriving several hours late to the event. He immediately won a big pot before finding aces against kings and his momentum increased from there.

Today the survivors of both opening flights meet for Day 2. ElkY and Akenhead will be joined by Day 2 survivors Sam Trickett, Ludovic Lacay, Roberto Romanello, Thomas Bichon, Arnaud Mattern and Max Pescatori.
