Bernabeu wins Mega Poker Series Madrid

The name Bernabeu is synonymous with Spanish sporting success being, as it is, the home of Real Madrid. The poker world also got introduced to a Bernabeu over the weekend as Samuel Bernabeu took the Madrid leg of the Mega Poker Series.

The Spaniard pocketed a first prize of €65,000 after outlasting a large 507 runner field at the Spanish capital's Gran Casino. Holding a massive chip lead, Bernabeu secured his biggest live pay day after agreeing a chop with Manuel Ledesma and Inigo Rodriguez when play went three-handed.
