He’s young, brash, and a pretty good poker player. He’s also something of a Survivor. American pro and jungle adventurer Jean-Robert Bellande has officially been unveiled as the newest recruit at Team Bodog.
'We're extremely excited to have Jean-Robert join our select team of world-class poker players. With his charismatic personality and his prowess as a poker player, Jean-Robert embodies the Bodog lifestyle. He is a perfect fit for Team Bodog,' said Alwyn Morris, the Bodog North American CEO.
‘Bobby’ Bellande is a much respected pro who has already accumulated $800,000 in tournament earnings in his short career. He’s also well known as being able to ‘talk a little smack’, which goes hand in hand with his aggressive style of play.
He joins an ever growing roster of professionals at Team Bodog, including Josh Arieh, Evelyn Ng, and David Williams.
Bellande’s debut as a Team Bodog player didn’t go too well after he was eliminated in Round One of the 2008 NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship in Las Vegas. However, with the World Series looming Bellande and Bodog will both be looking forward to success at the tables soon.
