Balsiger Calls Timex

Balsiger Calls Timex

Wednesday, 24 October 2012

In a few days time Jake Balsiger could become the youngest player to ever win the WSOP Main Event and if he can heed the sage words of his new coach that might just happen.

Although languishing near the bottom of the chip counts, Balsiger can feel more confident than most going into the finale as he’s recently revealed that he’s received coaching from Mike “Timex” McDonald.

Having successfully transitioned from the online world and banking over $4.5 million in live tournaments, plus multiple major titles, McDonald is an excellent coach for the young player.

Indeed, while Balsiger’s experience to date has largely been confined to the internet, the American pro revealed in an interview with PokerNews that he’ll be confident when the cards are in the air thanks to the coaching he’s received.

Whether or not Balsiger can etch his name in the history books remains to be seen, but all will eventually be revealed when the WSOP final kicks off this Sunday.
