BLOG – Follow our live reporting for the 2010 WSOPE Main Event

Today is the day – the Main Event of the World Series of Poker Europe kicks off and here I sit on my third cup of coffee at 9.11am before finishing up this blog and heading my tired ass down to Leicester Square. For you. Because I care.

Bluff Europe will be providing you news, updates and humour from The Empire today and for the next six days as the predicted 350 plus entrants play down to a final table of nine who will crown a fourth WSOPE Main Event winner on Tuesday.

So, who are the ones to watch coming into the event? Obviously Phil Ivey and Tom “durrrr” Dwan will be playing intently; the latter will save himself six or seven figures in prop bets if he can nab an
eleventh hour bracelet; the former will win $5,000,000 from Howard Lederer if he wins his second of 2010.

Daniel Negreanu will be in attendance and has traditionally done well at the WSOPE – must be something in the water. He finished runner-up last year after making a fifth place effort in John Juanda’s WSOPE as well as having a £1,000 final table under his belt. He hasn’t made a WSOPE final table yet so he’s due for this year.

The likes of Chris Moorman, JP Kelly, Jake Cody, Toby Lewis, Sam Trickett, Praz Bansi and James Akenhead as well as mentor Neil Channing are also ones to keep your eye on. Well, keep your eye on the WSOPE Live Reporting section to the right of your screen; I’ll do the legwork for you. Brits have been bringing home the bracelets this year and if the events of the summer in Vegas hold any meaning then we can expect several British stars to make it deep into the money.

Make sure to keep reading throughout the day so you’re not behind on the events of the pros at the 2010 World Series of Poker Europe.
