Aussie Millions Opening Event Day 1b completed

Aussie Millions Opening Event Day 1b completed

Friday, 15 January 2010

This year’s Aussie Millions opening event is looking to be the biggest yet. On Day 1a, 327 players registered for the event with 357 more joining them on Day 1b.

Tomorrow, on Day 1c, players from the original opening days can re-enter the tournament so it’s looking likely that we will see a four-figure attendance for this tournament.

Xen Xenofontos has not only the biggest stack (186,300) after the first two days but also, arguably, the coolest name. He lead the Day 1a field just ahead of Tony Hachem while Jim Mastorakos (174,700) topped the Day 1b leaderboard despite losing a 30,000 pot in the last hand of play.

Vanessa “fyslexicduck” Selbst of DeucesCracked.com fame finished strongly on Day 1a, as did Jimmy Wong and Tony “Bond18” Dunst on Day 1b. Join us tomorrow for updates on Day 1c to find out who will be nearing the final table in the opening event of the 2010 Aussie Millions.
