Full Tilt Poker has added a new and somewhat unlikely name to its pro roster. Former Olympic gold medallist Audley Harrison has signed a deal with the site prior to his World Heavyweight Championship showdown against David Haye next month.

The 38-year-old Harrison is no mug at the poker table having cashed twice at the World Series of Poker as well as getting a second place finish at the Bellagio Cup and a third in the Venetian deepstack.

“I have had some great results already in the game and Eddie [Hearn] and I have been looking at joining the right team for a while now,” said Harrison.

“We have found the perfect partner in Full Tilt Poker and I look forward to representing them both in the ring and on the tables. Next time I’m in action on the felt, I plan to have the WBA Heavyweight Championship belt round my waist.”

The World Heavyweight Championship bout takes place at Manchester's MEN Arena on 13th November.
