Asian Pacific Poker Tour Grand Final begins tonight

Asian Pacific Poker Tour Grand Final begins tonight

Tuesday, 7 December 2010

The fourth season of the APPT sponsored by PokerStars is concluding after beginning way back when in March with the APPT Manila that broke records for the prize pools in the region. The event has gone on to Macau, Auckland and Cebu where we crowned the first female winner of the APPT.

Now the tour has arrived in Sydney and the harbour will see the $6,300 Grand Final begin tomorrow. Last year the event attracted a field of hundreds and Aaron Benton won over half a million dollars for defeating the field. This year the money is even bigger.

In addition to the Main Event a $15,000 High Roller event will likely attract many Australian Poker Pros such as Joe Hachem. He will be joined by fellow PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu who is certain to stump up the $15,000 – that is if he doesn’t make a deep run in the Main Event.

We’ll bring you updates throughout the week to let you know how they get on Down Under at the APPT Grand Final.
