Wednesday, 23 July 2014

A daring high stakes raid inside Caesars Atlantic City took place last night. According to a report on USA Today's website, two masked man stormed into the casino armed with a pair of firearms.

After making their way through the poker room around 6:00am on Tuesday morning, the two thieves walked onto the casino floor before snatching two cash boxes.

The heist reportedly cost the casino $180,000 and police are now looking for the two men responsible for the armed robbery.

Security staff weren't able to catch and detain the two assailants, which means the police are currently relying on CCTV footage of the incident.

To help with their inquiries the New Jersey Police Gaming Bureau are also asking witness to come forward with any information.

This type of robbery isn't the first to make the headlines. Indeed, by far the most famous in poker history took place at EPT Berlin when hooded gunman stormed the venue and took the safe containing the tournament's prizepool.

Fortunately, on that occasion the thieves were caught and later sentenced to time in prison.
