Antonio Esfandiari Gets In Trouble

Antonio Esfandiari has been disqualified from a side event at the ongoing PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) tournament series after he urinated under a table.

The American had reportedly agreed a ‘massive’ proposition bet with businessman and poker enthusiast Bill Perkins said to be worth over $50,000 that involved him lunging everywhere for two days.

Naturally, not being able to walk and continually lunging takes its toll on the quads and by the time day-two rolled around, the 37-year-old poker pro was looking for as many ways as possible not to move.

After registering for a $3,500 buy-in side event in The Bahamas, Esfandiari found himself desperately needing to urinate. But, with his legs already on fire, he decided not to walk to the toilets at the Atlantis At Paradise Island Resort And Casino near Nassau but instead use a cup under the table.

Unfortunately, Esfandiari’s antics did not impress tournament directors and he was immediately disqualified from the side event.

“What a day. Some highs, definitely some lows, but in the end my bet w @bp22 is over. A lot of lessons learned today. A LOT. #PerkeeGotTheBEstOfMe,” Esfandiari wrote on Twitter.

Despite being disqualified from the PCA side event, Esfandiari did win the side bet, which should go some way to making up for his untimely exit from the tournament arena.
