Anthony Harb Wins WSOP Event #11, $2k NLHE

Monday, 8 June 2009

"It hasn't even sunk in that I've won over half a million dollars, man, it's all about the bracelet."

Those were the words of Anthony Harb, who took home $569,199 for his victory across a stacked field including Phil Hellmuth, TJ Cloutier and Neil Channing to take down the bracelet for Event #14: $2,000 No-Limit Hold ‘em.

Heads-up against Peter Rho, Harb held QTo on a 98KJ board for the nut straight. Unfortunately for Rho there was no getting away from his second-best hand, 98o for two pair.

The river blanked and Harb leapt to his feet, immediately shaking off the fatigue of the three-day grind that had got him to the top spot. “Look how fat my wrist is,” he grinned as the bracelet was fixed around.

Congratulations to Anthony Harb, WSOP bracelet winner.
