Annette Obrestad wins Aussie Millions $1,100 PLO event

Inaugural World Series of Poker Europe champion, Annette "Annette_15" Obrestad, has added $40,000 to her impressive resume of online and live tournament earnings after taking down Event 4 of the 2010 Aussie Millions.

The $1,100 Pot-Limit Omaha event drew 160 competitors with a first-place prize of $40,000 AUD. Annette arrived at the final table of nine third in chips, taking the chip lead shortly after play began and never looking back.


Just three hands after heads-up play with runner-up Billy Seri began, the tournament was over. Annette began with a chip lead of more than 8 to 1, getting the money in preflop with KJJ2 against KJ98 and holding up with a lone pair of jacks to take down her first major title down under.
