Annette Obrestad wins £5,250 EPT London Heads-Up event

Thursday, 30 September 2010

We’ve only just finished up the World Series of Poker Europe but that doesn’t mean we can’t have another major tournament series right after. The PokerStars EPT London has hit our fair city and is taking place in the Hilton Metropole hotel, Mayfair.

So far we’ve had a few preliminary events but the stand-out from these was the £5,000 heads-up event which was absolutely dominated by Annette Obrestad to take her first EPT side event title and a cool £120,000.

Obrestad played a total of sixteen heads-up games on her way to the title (the games were best of three; the final best of five) and lost only two. This brings her live tournament cashes to more than $3.3m without including her six- and seven-figure online accomplishments.

In addition, EPT Vilamoura winner Toby Lewis managed to add another EPT tournament to his collection by taking down the £1,000 NL event at the Hilton.
