Andy Bloch wins $10k Aussie Millions 8-game

It’s been a good Aussie Millions for Full Tilt Pros. As we write, Patrik Antonius is among the last eight at the Main Event; Gus Hansen is of course the most famous winner of that event at a final table with Antonius; Erik Seidel just won $2.5m for taking down the record $250,000 event.

Now Andy Bloch, who is often known for finishing runner-up in major events (classic example being the first ever $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. won by Chip Reese), has managed to book a win as well. He defeated UB pro Maria Ho in just a few hands of heads-up Omaha 8 after playing through a tough field across eight poker disciplines.

Those up for taking a crack at a tournament combining No Limit/Limit Hold ‘em; PLO; Omaha 8; three types of Stud and 2-7 Draw included Jeff Lisandro, Daniel Alaei, Eli Elezra and David Oppenheim. In the end, Mike Watson; Justin Smith; Robert Campbell; Maria Ho and Bloch were the only players remaining and guaranteed a payday.

The full payouts were as follows:
1.Andy Bloch $105,000 AUD
2.Maria Ho $70,000 AUD
3.Robert Campbell $50,000 AUD
4.Justin “BoostedJ” Smith $35,000 AUD
5.Mike Watson $20,000 AUD
