Andy Bloch Comes Second Again In FTOPS #5

Andy Bloch Comes Second Again In FTOPS #5

Monday, 10 August 2009

Before his 2008 victory, Erik Lindgren was known as “The Best Without a Bracelet.” It seems this moniker should now be passed on to Andy Bloch – hell, you could change it to “Best Without a Win.”

Bloch is renowned for coming second, infamously in the inaugural $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. event after the longest recorded heads-up session in the world, of course losing to the late, great David “Chip” Reese. Recently he also finished runner-up in the NBC National Heads-Up Championship.

Well, despite an impressive performance, he’s done it again in Full Tilt’s FTOPS – he came in second place out of 544 players in Event #5, Stud Hi, losing out to Xsporean. Nevertheless, Bloch saw a nice $17,000 return on a $216 investment while Xsporean won $25,000.

The six-handed final table was as follows:

1. Xsporean - $25,785.60
2. Andy Bloch - $17,081.60
3. I Intent - $11,968
4. electron78 - $7,398.40
5. Austin “The Quietwinner” McCormick - $4,569.60
6. bobboufl11 - $3,155.20

You can qualify for $200, $500 and $1,000 tournaments during FTOPS at Full Tilt Poker for as little as $1.
