While most of the poker world has been in Barcelona many of America's top grinders were at Foxwoods for the latest WSOP Circuit event at Foxwoods.

After three days of action, it was the familiar figure of Allen Kessler who was walking away with a WSOP ring and $170,031.

'Chainsaw' worked his way through a 526-runner field that included the likes of November Niner Billy Pappas and former Main Event finalist Michael Esposito. Both survived the opening day but hit the rail before the money.

Kessler started the the final day as one of the short stacks but a couple of double ups put him right back in contention.

He eventually sealed the deal after a two-hour heads up battle with Mark Dube, coming from behind to claim his third WSOP Circuit ring.

Kessler told “I started out with a huge chip deficit. Then I won a big race to get even. I tried to trap a few times. And neither time he went for it.
