Allen Cunningham/Huck Seed win Doubles Championship

Wednesday, 10 November 2010

The Full Tilt Poker Doubles Poker Championship – try saying that ten times fast – came to a close with the dynamic duo of Allen Cunningham and Huck Seed taking home the $1,000,000 first prize after defeating Howard Lederer and Phil Gordon (is he even a poker player still?) heads-up... well, quads-up for the title.

Phil Ivey and Chris Ferguson started the day with a short stack and went out in third to collect $200,000 leaving Seed and Cunningham heads-up against the Full Tilt Poker head honchos. The hand was a classic coinflip with J-J holding vs A-K all in before the flop.Lederer and Gordon take home $500,000 between them for the runner-up spot.

The Full Tilt Poker Doubles Poker Championship is a unique format where teams of two pros play each hand street-by-street with time for discussion of tactics and strategies.
