Allan Graham Heads Sky Poker UKPC Main Event

The business end of proceedings is rapidly approaching at the Sky Poker UK Championship Main Event.

After nine levels of play yesterday, the field had been whittled down to just 61 with Allan Graham (812,000) leading the charge for the six-figure score. Graham is just in front of recent EPT Deauville finalist Alex Goulder (810,000), with this month's GUKPT London runner up, Alan Mansbridge (682,000) in third.

Barny Boatman started the day with the chip lead and the British Poker Award nominee is still very much in contention in tenth with 555,000.
Other notables who'll be returning to Nottingham today include Genting Poker Series winner Albert Sapiono (557,000), Richard Trigg (547,000), Jamie Roberts (405,000), Carlo Citrone (328,000), Charles Chattha (308,000), Martins Adeniya (208,000) and Scott Shelley (144,000).

Alexandrs Golubevs Wins PLO Bracelet

There was very nearly a home win for the Sky Poker team in the PLO side event with Tony 'Tikay' Kendall coming tantalisingly close to taking the bracelet.

'Mr Sky Poker' eventually fell in second place with Alexandrs Golubevs taking the title and thr £11,500 first prize. Tikay pocketed £7,000 for his efforts.

38 left in Six Max – Mahmood Leads

196 players took to the tables for the opening day of the Six Max event with 38 surviving the day. Basharat Mahmood leads on 401,600 followed by Matthew Davenport (341,400) and Robert Hallsworth (314,300).

Also returning this lunchtime are the likes of Simon Deadman, Zimnan Ziyard, Mickey Wernick, Ross Jarvis and Ryan Spittles.
