Allan Baekke leads EPT Snowfest

Allan Baekke leads EPT Snowfest

Thursday, 25 March 2010

86 players started Day 3 at the EPT Snowfest in Austria and by the close of play just 24 remained with one player completely dominating proceedings.

That player was Denmark's Allan Baekke who had managed to rack up a massive stack of 2,687,000 chips. To put that into perspective his closest rival, Brent Wheeler has 1,361,000. Also in the running is EPT Player of the Year candidate Maxim Lykov who sits on 1,205,000. The only other “millionaire” is Johannes Strassmann whose stack stands at just over 1m.

Baekke is on a bit of a heater at the moment, taking down the €2,000 side event at EPT Berlin last month for a cash of €97,000. He'll be hoping to put his massive chip advantage to good use over the next few days with a first prize of €445,000 there for the taking.

A few notable names who won't be contending for the big payout include Alex Kravchenko, Vadim Markushevski and Lex Veldhuis who made the money yesterday but bowed out soon afterwards.

Join us over the next few days to see how Baeke puts his big stack to use.
