The third and final opening flight of the PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) from the Sky City Casino in Queenstown, New Zealand, has ended and tomorrow's Day 2 is now set to see 66 runners.

The opening rounds of the APPT Snowfest event have generated a first prize of NZD$94,300 while also giving us a new chip leader in the shape of Alicia Sale, who bagged up 91,750 to end Day 1c.

An additional 36 players registered for the event, and with 23 survivors, Day 2 looks to have a field of 66 returning, which is just over half the total field with 15 paid and the final table receiving at least $10,280 in prize money.

New Zealand residents are dominating proceedings at the moment with all five of the biggest stacks in the room for Day 2 sitting in front of Kiwis, lead by Sale. German player Marcel Schreiner is the highest-ranked international player sitting in sixth place.
