Many of the big hitters on the UK tournament circuit were in Nottingham over the weekend for the latest £250,000 guaranteed Monte Carlo event at Dusk Till Dawn, which for the first time was a re-entry tournament.

A total of 252 players bought in, just exceeding the guarantee, with Alex Goulder eventually emerging victorious. The former Dusk Till Dawn dealer beat a final table that included Peter Evans, James Clarke and Stuart Fox to set up a heads up clash with recent World Series of Poker bracelet winner Matt Perrins.

The 2-7 Triple WSOP triple draw champ couldn't overturn a 4.9m to 2.7m chip deficit though with Goulder eventually sealing the title holding AdTd to Perrins' Jc10h. The board came out Kc3hAh7h5s giving Goulder the £77,512 first prize with this month's Bluff cover star forced to settle for £45,315.

The final table positions and payouts were as follows:

1 Alex Goulder £77,512.50
2 Matt Perrins £45,315.00
3 Stuart Fox £27,189.00
4 Daniel Laming £19,080.00
5 James Clarke £14,310.00
6 Lee Cockroft £10,732.50
7 Mitchell Johnson £8,347.50
8 Kevin Brown £5,962.50
9 Peter Evans £4,770.00
