Alex Bilokur beats Jonathan Duhamel to PCA High Roller win

Monday, 16 January 2012

Alex Bilokur of Ukraine has beaten out a star-studded field in the final event of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure 2012 , the $25,000 High Roller.

A final table that had a suspicious lack of Will Molson did feature other big names.

Record-holder and Team Online’s Randy Lew joined Isaac Haxton, Govert Metaal, Jason Koon and Jonathan Duhamel.

In the end it was Duhamel and Bilokur who went head-to-head and, despite the 2010 WSOP champion’s momentum, he lost out and settled for second.

Despite this, Duhamel has had a fantastic PCA. He began by final tabling the $100,000 Super High Roller for over $300k and followed up with a win in the $5,000 NL event for almost a quarter-million dollars.

Another final table and now this runner-up finish has given him $1.2m in prizes at the 2012 PCA and taken him to over $11m in lifetime tournament cashes.

The PCA High Roller final table was as follows:

1. Alex Bilokur - $1,134,930

2. Jonathan Duhamel - $634,550

3. Isaac Haxton - $380,730

4. Jason Koon - $271,950

5. Nicolas Fierro - $217,560

6. Govert Metaal - $181,300

7. Michael Telker - $145,040

8. Randy Lew - $108,780
