PokerStars.com has announced new dates for the European Poker Tour (EPT) French Open in Deauville next year, with the good news that there’s an extra day for poker players to pit their skills against some top-class opponents.

PokerStars.com has announced new dates for the European Poker Tour (EPT) French Open in Deauville next year, with the good news that there’s an extra day for poker players to pit their skills against some top-class opponents.
Due to the increasing popularity of the Season 3 EPT, the tournament will now run for an extra day, from February 20 to 24 2007 at the Casino de Deauville.
“Deauville has always been among our most popular stops on the EPT, setting a new attendance record of 434 runners in EPT Season 2,” said John Duthie, EPT chief executive. 'In order to accommodate the expected large turnout, the EPT and the Casino de Deauville have worked hard to increase the maximum capacity to a massive 700 runners for the 2007 event.
'We are also pleased to announce that, for the first time, the Casino de Deauville will be spreading cash games, alongside the usual tournament and sit-and-go events,” Duthie added.
The five-day French Open has a predicted prize pool of in excess of €2,500,000. Players can qualify for the French Open on at the PokerStars website from December 10.
