Former World Series Of Poker Main Event winner Dan Harrington is the latest top pro to confirm he’ll be playing at the 2009 Irish Poker Open. Harrington, who won the big one in 1995 will join fellow WSOP Main Event winners Noel Furlong and Jamie Gold in Dublin over the Easter weekend.

Harrington, known to millions as the author of the Harrington On Hold ‘Em series of books, is one of only a handful of players to have won both WSOP and WPT titles. If you fancy that he’ll add the Irish Open to his very impressive tournament CV then bookmakers are offering odds of 100/1. is also offering odds on which member of last year’s final table will last longest this year. Defending champion Neil Channing heads the list at 4/1, followed by Eric Larcheveque at 5/1, Thomas Dunwoodie at 11/2, Tim Blake, Edwin Tournier, Donal Norton and Kai Danilo Paulsen all at 6/1 with Joh Carsten at 8/1.
