Fish farmer Aaron Hopkins has won the latest leg of the Sky Poker UK Tour. Hopkins outlasted a field of 109 runners, including his wife Naomi, to win the title at Aspers Casino in Swansea.

The Devonian sealed the victory, getting his chips in when heads up holding A10 against opponent Ian Atwater’s A3. The board improved neither player and Hopkins claimed the first prize of £1,800 and a seat in the SPUKT Grand Finale.

Dawn Till Dusk in Nottingham is the venue for the aforementioned Grand Finale on 13th and 14th June where qualifiers will be competing for a guaranteed prize pool of £25,000. Sky cameras will also be in attendance to cover the final table action.

Commenting on his win Hopkins said, “There was a little bit of luck involved but I just went for it and came out the winner. I had actually only played in six live events before, including the Sky Poker Bootcamp in Bristol last year. I usually play online at Sky Poker as I like to watch the play on TV.”

It’s still possible to qualify for next month’s SPUKT Grand Finale at www.skypoker.com. Satellites run on Sunday nights at 7pm.
