APPT Grand Final Day 2 wraps up

APPT Grand Final Day 2 wraps up

Friday, 4 December 2009

The PokerStars Asian Pacific Poker Tour has been narrowed down to just 66 players – just 18 off the money – after an action-packed Day 2 that saw a number of big names hit the rail as play progressed.

Lee “Final Table” Nelson managed to stay in the fight until halfway through the day, when he got it in with 66 against pocket tens. He even managed to find a miracle six on the flop but a cruel ten on the river balanced out the equity and sent him out of the tournament.

Two PokerStars Pros remain - Eric Assadourian and Grant Levy both had a good day, with the latter on 124,000 and the former in eighth place on 330,000. Chip leader Greg Trigg began the day with less than 150k and has managed to quadruple it to become the only player with more than 600,000 in front of him.
