A great week for Gus Hansen

A great week for Gus Hansen

Saturday, 28 May 2011

It's been quite the week for Gus Hansen. After a big loss in the draw games the Dane returned to form at the Omaha tables showing a massive $1,166,372 profit for the week. Hansen is back at the top of the 2011 online leader board with a profit fast approaching $4m.

Patrik Antonius was the big donor to the Hansen bankroll fund, dropping over $1.3m to all comers during what proved to be a tough week. Despite the loss Antonius is still up $1.1m for the year.

Another Finn had a much more successful time though. Ilari 'Ilari FIN' Sahamies butted metaphorical heads with Viktor 'Isildur1' Blom and booked a profit of $169,000 against the young Swede.

Hansen is now way out in front as 2011's biggest winner at $3.99m followed by Daniel 'Jungelman12' Cates $1.92m, Gavin Cochrane $1.78m and NoPasaran $1.6m. Tom 'Durrrr' Dwan still heads the biggest losers, down $2.47m with KagomeKagome dropping $1.7m and Eugene “fishosaurusREX” Yanayt down almost $1.4.
