888poker's Local Live Series Returns

Friday, 20 February 2015

888poker's latest live series will kick off today in Dublin with a €220 Main Event offering a prizepool worth at least €30,000.

Taking place inside ClubPoker Rathmines, the festival will be 888poker's second of the year and the MD of the venue, Luke Ivory, is keen to see how well player respond to it.

"888poker and ClubPoker Rathmines have joined forces to bring a superb low buy-in poker event to the Irish capital. We've pulled out all of the stops to ensure that this new event is a hit with the locals and any other players it attracts from outside the city. We look forward to hosting this great event for our players," Luke Ivory.

Back in January the inaugural 888poker Live Local Series event took place in London and when all the money had been collected a total of 609 players helped create a prizepool worth £125,000.

On that occasion Terrance Jordan was the man who walked away with the £23,702 top prize as well as the first ever Local Live Series trophy.

For the second event the organisers are hoping to attract north of 300 players for the main event and many more throughout the festival.

If they can manage this then it will provide a solid base for the rest of the season when the tour travels to destinations such as Valencia, Prague, Melbourne, Vienna and Newcastle.
