777.com’s “Best Poker Player of All Time” poll ended last week with a surprising result. Popular favourite Phil Hellmuth received 20 per cent of the votes, but ended up finishing in second position to T.J. Cloutier, who walked away the winner with 27 per cent of the votes.
777.com said the response from poker players and gambling enthusiasts for this poll was especially high, attributing it to the recent World Series of Poker tournament which ended last month.
The poll was the latest in a series of polls issued by 777.com which aim to survey various issues related to gambling. Other recent polls have asked for the likes of online gamblers’ favourite games and most memorable casino movie character.
“We try to find the most interesting questions that we think the gambling community wants answered,” said 777.com’s marketing director Amy Gomez. “These polls are part of the fun in gambling and it is important to show the opinions and thoughts of the members of the gambling community. They deserve to have their voices heard.”
A new gambling poll at 777.com explores the seniority of 777.com’s users, asking for how long they have been gambling.
