The Poker Players Alliance (PPA) will reportedly be sending out a letter to all of its members today to let them know that the organisation has the unfaltering support of 30 of the most well-known and respected poker players across the world.
The PPA went about collecting the all important signatures at a tournament last month, at the same time encouraging people to spread the word about the PPA and get involved in fighting the recently passed Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act.
The letter opens by saying that the freedom to play “America’s game” online has been taken away by Washington DC and continues by asking poker players to support the organisation, suggesting that a united voice might have some impact on the decision by the US government to prohibit playing the game online.
Amongst the campaigns the organisation has recently run, PPA board members Annie Duke, Chris Ferguson, Greg Raymer, and PPA President Michael Bolcerek proved themselves a force to be reckoned with last month when they made a number of TV news and newspaper appearances across to talk about online poker.
