24 left at EPT Berlin, Marc Wright leads

Briton Marc Wright is the man to beat heading into today's penultimate day at EPT Berlin. The Briton enjoyed a deep run at last week's Irish Open, finishing in 13th place for €15,400, and has guaranteed himself at least €20,000 in the German capital with the field whittling down to just 24.

Wright returns this afternoon with a stack of 2,400,000, just ahead of UKIPT Brighton runner-up Tomas Cibak from the Czech Republic who has 2,311,000. Canadian Andrew Chen, who came third at EPT Prague in Season 5 and fifth at the Season 6 EPT Grand Final sits in third on 1,827,000.


There are still a number of notable name lurking further down the field including former Snowfest winner Vladimir Geshkenbein on 1,053,000, Anton Wigg 973,000 and EPT Season 6 winner Kevin Macphee who returns with 430,000.


High profile casualties from yesterday included Vanessa Selbst, JP Kelly, William Thorsson and Paul vas Nunes who all made the money.


The 24 remaining players will each collect at least €20,000 with the top six securing six-figure scores. The top prize is an eye-popping €825,000.
