2012 Aussie Millions begins this week

Tuesday, 10 January 2012

With the PCA still ongoing there’s more tournament action in the southern hemisphere as the 2012 Aussie Millions, the tenth to take place, begins on Thursday. Starting with a $1,100 NL event and running until the $10,000 Main Event concludes, this one has something for everyone.

In addition to the plethora of $1,000 buy-in No Limit events the series also features H.O.R.S.E., Omaha and many other mixed game variants including a $10,500 8-Game Mix. Other highlights of the series include the $100k and $250k Challenge events.

Last year saw David Gorr win the Main Event title, beating out English pro James Keys. The real highlight was the two Seidel v. Trickett heads-up battles, the first of which saw Sam Trickett best Erik Seidel for the $100k buy-in title and $1.525m while in the second, Seidel prevailed to win $2.5m in the $250k event over Trickett.

This year promises to be as action-packed and we’ll be bringing you all the news.
