Organisers have revealed details of the 2010 Scottish Poker Open with an estimated $1m to be won in August's showpiece.

The three-day event takes place at the Alea casino on the stunning Glasgow Quayside waterfront from 7th to 9th August 2010 with an estimated $1m to be won.


The £2,500+£250 buy-in tournament will get players a starting stack of 15,000 chips and the 60-minute clock should ensure plenty of play. Entrants will also be able to make a spectacular entrance to the tournament with all players arriving at the casino by luxury yacht and limousine.


One player who will be experiencing the best in Scottish hospitality is Luke Schwartz. The loud mouthed Londoner said, "The Scottish Poker Open is the most exciting tournament I have heard about in years. I am looking forward to playing it, and being crowned the 'poker king of Scotland' when I crush the field."
