WSOP Day 3 preview

WSOP Day 3 preview

Friday, 10 July 2009

2,044 of the original field of 6,494 are still dreaming about a return to Las Vegas in November and a payday of $8,546,435. Among those still in the hunt are former World Champions Bobby Baldwin, Phil Hellmuth, Jim Bechtel, Dan Harrington, Chris Ferguson, Carlos Mortensen, Greg Raymer, Joe Hachem and Peter Eastgate.

We could still have a celebrity winner too as cricketer Shane Warne, actors Jason Alexander, Lou Diamond Phillips and Patrick Bruel are all still in the frame.

If the bookies are to be believed Phil Ivey should be guaranteed a seat at the Main Event final table. Ivey is 10/1 to be one of the November Nine, followed by JC Tran at 16/1, Jeff Lisandro, Phil Hellmuth and ElkY at 20/1 with Greg Mueller at 25/1. James Akenhead heads the British challenge at 33/1.

Play resumes at 8pm tonight UK time.
