Michael Davis Wins Event #43 - $1,000 Seniors’ Event

Michael Davis has won $437,358 and his first WSOP bracelet for his victory in Event #43, the $1,000 Seniors’ Championship event. He defeated Scott Buller heads-up, who had held the chip lead for much of the tournament.
After playing his winning hand, Davis commented that he had just sold his business last week. "I was wondering if I had to go home and find another job, but I guess that doesn't matter right now," Davis said as he was surrounded by family and friends.
In the final hand, the chips got all-in pre-flop. Buller had held the chip lead for most of the tournament but Davis had doubled in the first hand of heads-up play to take it from him.
Davis held A9 against Buller’s dominating AJ. The flop gave hopes of a chop as it fell 543 but the 9 on the turn rocketed Davis ahead. The river blanked with the 4c and shipped the bracelet Davis’s way.
